About these guidelines#
These guidelines apply everywhere on CommuniSolve: the website at communisolve.co, the iOS and Android apps, and CommuniSolve Enterprise. They cover posts, comments, polls, voice notes, photos, videos, Discovery perspectives, Brainstorm chats, collaborations, communities, events, jobs, courses, profiles and private messages.
They are part of our Terms of Service at site.communisolve.co/terms. Events also follow our Event Policy at site.communisolve.co/event-policy. If these guidelines and the Terms ever differ, the Terms apply.
The same rules apply to anonymous content. Anonymous posts, comments and votes hide your name from other members, not from us.
Disagree with ideas, not people#
Debate is welcome. Challenge an argument, question the evidence and offer a better solution. Do it without insulting, mocking or belittling the person you disagree with.
Stay on topic in other people's threads, collaborations and communities, and respect the rules their owners set, as long as those rules don't conflict with these guidelines.
Harassment and bullying#
Don't target anyone with abuse, insults, degrading comments about their appearance, or repeated contact they don't want. Don't encourage others to pile on, mass-report or follow someone across the platform.
If someone blocks you or asks you to stop contacting them, stop. Don't make a new account or use someone else's to reach them.
Hateful content#
Don't attack people for who they are. That includes race, ethnicity, national origin, caste, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, serious illness and immigration status.
This covers slurs, dehumanising comparisons, harmful stereotypes, calls to exclude or segregate people, and symbols or praise of hate groups. Discussing or reporting on hate to condemn or study it is allowed when the purpose is clear.
Violence, threats and dangerous groups#
Don't threaten anyone, wish serious harm on them, or encourage violence, including as a joke. Don't praise, support or recruit for terrorist or violent extremist groups, or celebrate attacks.
Don't share instructions for making weapons or explosives intended to hurt people. If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services, then report the content to us.
Suicide, self-harm and eating disorders#
Talking about mental health, including your own struggles and recovery, is welcome. Don't encourage or give instructions for suicide, self-harm or disordered eating, and don't mock people who are struggling.
If you or someone you know is in crisis, contact local emergency services or find a helpline at findahelpline.com. If you see a member at risk, report their post so we can review it.
Child safety#
We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation. Never post, send, request or link to sexual content involving anyone under 18, and never use CommuniSolve to groom, contact, extort or traffic a child.
We remove this content, permanently ban the accounts involved and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and other authorities. Our full child safety standards are at site.communisolve.co/terms#child-safety.
You must be 16 or older to use CommuniSolve. Report any account you believe belongs to someone younger.
Nudity, sexual content and intimate images#
Don't post pornography, sexually explicit content or sexual services, and don't send sexual messages or images to anyone who hasn't clearly asked for them. Art, health and educational content that shows nudity in a non-sexual way may be allowed.
Never share intimate images of anyone without their consent, and never threaten to. If an intimate image of you was shared, ask us to remove it at communisolve.co/report/intimate-images. You don't need an account, and we aim to remove it within 48 hours.
Graphic content#
Don't post gore, extreme violence or cruelty to people or animals for shock value or to celebrate it. News, documentary or awareness content may stay if it adds context and doesn't glorify the harm.
Privacy and personal information#
Don't share someone else's private information without their consent. That includes home addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, ID documents, financial details, health information, private messages and photos taken in private places.
Don't try to work out who is behind an anonymous post, and don't record or photograph people at events or in calls and post it when they have asked you not to.
Authenticity and fair play#
Be yourself. Don't impersonate a person, organisation or CommuniSolve, and don't mislead people about who you are, your qualifications or who you work for. Parody and fan accounts must say so clearly in their name and bio.
One person, one personal account. Don't create accounts to get around a suspension or block, and don't buy, sell or share accounts.
Don't manipulate likes, votes, follows, comments, scores or rankings, whether by hand, with other accounts or with bots. Automated accounts need our written permission.
Spam, scams and misleading content#
Don't post the same content over and over, send bulk unsolicited messages, or fill comments and communities with links and promotion. Don't use misleading links or clickbait.
Don't run scams, phishing, fake giveaways, pyramid schemes or get-rich-quick offers, and don't ask members for passwords, codes, money or gift cards.
Don't share false information that is likely to cause real harm, such as dangerous health claims, fake emergency alerts or false information about how, when or where to vote.
Illegal and regulated goods and activities#
Don't use CommuniSolve to buy, sell or arrange illegal drugs, weapons, explosives, stolen goods, counterfeit products, forged documents, hacking services or human trafficking.
Don't promote unlicensed gambling, or sell alcohol, tobacco, prescription medicine or other regulated goods in breach of the law where you or your audience are.
Other people's work#
Only post content you created or have the right to share, and credit others when you build on their ideas. If you believe content infringes your copyright, email [email protected] as explained in our Terms of Service. We close the accounts of repeat infringers.
Jobs, freelance work and recruitment#
Post only real, lawful jobs and projects, and describe the pay, location and duties honestly. Never charge applicants a fee to apply, train or be hired, and don't use a job post to sell something or collect personal information.
Don't discriminate unlawfully against applicants, and use what they share with you only to fill the role you posted. Applicants must be honest about their experience and must not apply with someone else's identity or work.
Brainstorms, collaborations and Discovery#
Take part in good faith. Add ideas that move the problem forward, give feedback that helps, and credit the people whose ideas you build on. Don't derail sessions, flood them with off-topic content or take other members' work as your own.
When you join a collaboration or an Enterprise workspace, keep confidential what the owner or organisation asks you to keep confidential.
Communities#
Community owners can set extra rules for their community, such as who can post and what topics fit. Those rules can be stricter than these guidelines but never looser.
Owners and moderators must apply their rules fairly and must not use their role to harass members or to collect members' personal information. A community that exists to break these guidelines will be removed.
Events#
Hosts must list events accurately, keep them lawful and safe, and treat guests' information with care. Guests must follow the host's reasonable rules. The full rules for hosting and joining events are in our Event Policy at site.communisolve.co/event-policy.
Private messages#
These guidelines apply in direct messages and group chats too. Don't send unwanted sexual content, threats, spam or repeated messages to someone who hasn't replied. Anyone in a conversation can report a message, and we review the reported messages.
AI features#
You are responsible for what you post, including text or images you made with AI, inside or outside CommuniSolve. Don't use Communibot, Brainstorm chat or any other AI feature to create content these guidelines don't allow, and don't pass off AI-generated content as a real person's words or a real event.
If an AI reply on CommuniSolve is harmful or offensive, report it. We review it like any other report.
Enterprise workspaces#
In CommuniSolve Enterprise, these guidelines apply alongside your organisation's own policies. Your organisation's administrators can act on content and members in their workspace, and we can still act on anything that breaks these guidelines or our Terms.
Reporting and blocking#
You can report a post, comment, poll, collaboration, community, event, message or account from its menu. Reports are confidential: we never tell the member you reported who reported them. You can also block any member, so that they no longer see your profile or content and you no longer see theirs.
We aim to review reports within 24 hours. When we decide, we tell you the outcome but not the details of action taken against the other member.
What happens when someone breaks these guidelines#
We look at what was posted, the context, whether it was intended to harm, and the member's history. Depending on how serious it is, we may remove the content, limit how it is shown, remove features such as hosting events or posting jobs, suspend the account for a time, or ban it permanently.
Some things lead to a permanent ban the first time, including child sexual abuse and exploitation, credible threats of violence, sharing intimate images without consent, and running scams. We may report serious cases to the authorities.
When we remove your content or restrict your account, we tell you what we did and why, unless the law stops us or telling you would put someone at risk.
Appeals#
If you think we got it wrong, you can appeal once within six months, in the app under Settings, Moderation, or by emailing [email protected] if you can't sign in. A person who was not involved in the first decision reviews your appeal, and we restore the content or account if the appeal succeeds.
Changes and contact#
We update these guidelines as CommuniSolve and the ways people use it change, and we change the date at the top when we do. Questions go to [email protected].
